Well martin, you're my new hero. My pup is awesome!!! You obviously know what in the hell you're doing. There are a lot of folks in your profession that can talk the talk. You also walk the walk. It’s so rare these days to meet people that actually give a damn about what they do and are experts at what they do as well. You clearly are both. I believe I am very fortunate to have run across you in my search for a pup. After having seen your name in a few places, I’m very thankful I decided to track you down and call you to see just who the hell you were. Probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I needed major guidance and you provided it.
While I never said anything, I had some reservations with the litter when I saw it. From what I’ve learned (mostly from you), the pedigree looked phenomenal. You seemed to like the pups (mine in particular) so I went with it out of my complete trust in you. At any rate, the pup I have today bears little resemblance to what I saw 3 days ago in MS. Christmas day, she climbed two flights of stairs like they weren't even there. She is extremely alert, lightening fast and smart as a whip. This morning she made 9 or 10 retrieves with the air Kong you gave me. This is the first time I ever tried it with her and she retrieved the very first one (almost brought a tear to my eye I was so happy). The first couple of retrieves were only about three feet. But the last several were 15 to 20 feet. I think she would have kept up retrieving forever, but I wanted to stop before she lost any enthusiasm/interest. I have been so proud of my kids with her also. They have been terrific. They tell us she is the best Christmas present they will ever get in their whole lives. And if you knew how terribly I spoil my kids with toys and surprises, this statement means a lot. like all of your advice, your tip of playing with the pup for 20 - 30 minutes and then leaving her to rest for a couple of hours seems to be right on as she is responding extremely well to this schedule
I’m so damn proud of her I could go on forever, but I don't want to bore you any longer. Really just writing to say thanks again!!! Three days ago, I saw no talent in the litter whatsoever - just a great pedigree and pretty faces. You are the one that saw the talent within her that I am now able to see in her environment today. I never could have done it without you.
