It was a great fun and experience to take part on the training seminar with Martin Deeley in Austria both in 2001. and 2002. Last year at the time of the seminar my younger dog was only 5 months old and along her puppy-hood I could widely use Martin’s ideas how to grow up a puppy to be a good gundog as well as a dog for competition. Now Gianna is only 14 months old but she has already won two working tests and was 4th on one other, in puppy class.

This year I took part on Martin’s workshop for advanced dogs. We laughed much and the dogs also enjoyed the challenging situations that they could finish with success, and stepped forward a bit on every task. We also got instructions how to build up the training sessions and how to develop our dogs’ knowledge without confusing them much. Martin had a solution for every problem which seemed to work even in two days! We got a very logical and step-by-step know-how how to train our dogs to be winners, how to improve their weaknesses, and a very dog-wise way of thinking how to find a solution for our dogs’ problems.

I hope that Martin will not give up coming every year to Europe and will give over his many years of experience also for the next generations of dog-handlers!
